Pay the 10 dollars for Winmail.dat Premium, it is worth it. The file opens up seamlessly. Its a beautiful thing!!!

I was able to use this app to open a file right after purchasing it from the App Store, but since then, the app simply won’t work. It just sort of plays peek-a-boo in the dock and disappears

This is a much needed app. I have it for my phone and Mac. Winmail.dat files are the worst and after a year of calling clients, friends, or whoever to resend emails because I can’t open winmail.dat files I found this app. It works better then anything else I’ve tried.

This is a thoroughly useless program. Not worth wasting your time with. Free version will not do anything butr allow you to see the attachments. Why pay for the “premium” version if you cannot be surte that it will open all attachments as it is supposed to!

The Lite version will do nothing for you. Not paying $10 to find out if the “Pro” version will. Buy at your own risk.

App does what I need it to. I have several clients who insist on sending winmail.dat attachments. This app opens them without issue so I can print and save as needed.

Great app, for several years some files were just not able to open on my system, I tried everything but nothing worked. I tried several other apps but to no avail. I finally gave this a try and it works great. I still use AOL for mail and I think its the problem but I have always been able to open a .dat file with Winmail.dat Viewer, plus it automatically opens it when I click on the file, I highly recommend it. If yours isnt working I would reinstall it but mine worked straight up the first time.

Huge help. Keeps me from having to bother clients with resending attachments. Works every time.

I’ve been using this for a while now and it’s always worked for me having to communicatoe with those pesky Windows people. Can’t complain, it does it’s job! Well done.

Nothing overly complicated and very straight forward in operation. This tool allows a simple option for winmail.dat file conversion that I have not encountered with other apps.

Free version doesn’t open anything except a popup for a $10 upgrade. Don’t waste your time

I’ve needed the Letter opener to read some email attachments that come in as winmat. Works just fine in macmail. I wish the software was automatic and I didnt’ ahve to double click the winmail attachment but that’s just a nice to have.

Works great for me, so glad you created this software. Winmail.dat is bogus to see, you have fixed that!

the free version does’t launch ANY files - just tells you to pay for the premium version. Dishonesty gets you nowhere. I will find another app that says upfront the cost to do what we need it to do. Waste of time.

It’s intended only as a misleading file to force you to pay for the full program. There are other options that are more honest.

This little program is a handy little tool that opens a number of the strange little file formats that Windows folk attach to their emails without thinking of their recipients. You know the guy, gets a new computer, brand new software, starts sending stuff and no one can read it? Windat Viewer lets you read it. There have even been numerous times when I was able to read formats that windows users could not read! I use this all the time and am quite pleased with it.

I can understand the reviews that rated the “Lite" version as a “1;” it doesn’t do anything but send you off to buy the “Premium” version. Now, I don’t mind paying for software and feel the $8.99 price is fair for what you get. Just don’t dangle a non-working carrot out there to get me to buy the full version. That said, once I figured out that the “Lite” version didn’t really do anything and “upgraded” to the working version, it works as advertised. No more cryptic “WinMail.dat” attachments on my Mac. The only improvement would be if it just went ahead and automatically unpacked the WinMail.dat files when the e-mail was opened. Doing that would get it a “5" in my book.

Disgusted. Downloaded and will not open any attached files. Squeezes you to buy the app for $10! Dishonest

It doesn’t work for me. I try to open my files only to receive the message to buy the 9.99 “premium” version. Wasted a bunch of time with this!
