Not more to say than that. Does what its supposed to.

Careful! This is version 1.0.0 (aka Letter Opener Lite on their homepage), not the current Lion-compatible Letter Opener Pro v 3.0.x which retails at over $29. There are freeware options that have the same functionality as this Lite app. LO Pro looks great, however. Alas this version does not have the invisible interface of the pro version. Not worth the $7 IMHO.

Very useful application. It worked very well to resolve my issue of receiving "winmail.dat" files instead of the real attachment from certain users of Outlook using rich text format.

This app did not open my winmail.dat files. It is of no use whatsoever. Cant believe they charge so much for nothing.

Not pleased. In contrast to the Winmail app I unloaded for my iPhone5 and iPad Retina, which seamlessly opens complex attachments eg engineering drawings, and sends them to my printer wirelessly. If you do buy this app be sure to FIRST deactivate security; my computer denied me access to letter opener, even after I deactivated security (Allow applications downloaded from Mac App Store).

Nothing fancy about the application which is great. Works every time, super simple and easy.

I find this app works very well with my Mac. It opens quickly as my default for this type of file.

Winmail attachments have always been such a thorn to my email experience. I receive less winmail attachments than I used to but still receive some. Having this tool to successfully open such emails makes the process easy. Does what is intended. Simple. No hoops to jump through. No in-app spam. That makes it a 5 star for me.

I had limited faith in this when I bought it but have been very pleasantly surprised. Works everytime, automatically, and well. I highly recommend it for Mac users.

I was initially sceptical, but I bought the app when I had an urgent need to open a winmail file. With the app open, I double clicked on the winmail attachment and it opened. No fuss. So simple!

I tried to upload this app and realized that it had to have access to all of my attahments, photos, emails and contacts. I didn’t want to agree to that but now only have the OK button to push and accept. There is no “X” out or cancel button. I can’t delete it. Dont know if it’s a VIRUS!!!!! I DON’T RECOMMEND YOU DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!

I got letter opener lite. Wont open my win mail.dat. My work gets covered by a bully pop up forcing me to buy premium for $11;99.

Letter Opener Lite has become indispensable for me opening the dreaded win mail.dat attachments on my macs

The app will crash after I reboot the computer and I have to download it again from app store. Its really frustrated. Please fix it!

Makes life so much simpler when I can easily open windat files. Love it . . .! It is super easy to use and is virtually an indispensible Mac app!

Thank’s to the team who make this little software to make us escape from the proprietary stupid thing’s from Microsoft.

All this does is allow you to read the email message - which I had no problem doing anyway. It does not allow you to read the attachments, which is the reason why you would want it. Not unless you pay $11.99 for the premium version. Don’t waste your time downloading this.

I have one client who sends everything as a Win Dat file and this app is essential. And it works.

Downloaded the “Lite”, but it would not let me use it - kept re-directing me to the Premium to buy at $9.99. This is a bait and switch scam.
